OUR STORY
Dr Michelle Malan (Brown) is an experienced
certified practising speech-language pathologist.
​
Michelle has worked at The Children's Hospital at Westmead, a community health centre,
and owned a private practice.
Michelle is also a lecturer and researcher with an interest in paediatric literacy, speech, language, voice, hearing loss, and swallowing.
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Special Education

Thesis title: The effectiveness of early storybook reading for babies with and without a hearing loss

Michelle has published and presented her research nationally and internationally and has been invited to collaborate with Speech Pathology Australia on literacy initiatives.

Michelle is an experienced clinician who is passionate about supporting children and their families with
speech, language, literacy, voice, hearing loss, and swallowing difficulties,
to reach their fullest potential.
